Senior Vice President of Engineering
Senior Vice President of Engineering for a technically advanced Global Electronic Equipment manufacturing company.
Senior Vice President of Engineering will report to the President and work in tandem with the CFO in support of managing new product design and product development cost controls. This person will bring new broad based engineering processes that will solve problems prior to critical stages and enable the company to get ahead of the curve through in-depth value analysis of the current product line. This executive will be responsible for all the activities of the engineering and quality departments. The head of engineering will have regular interaction with customers on existing and appropriate new products that enable the company to continue its significant growth both in revenue and profitability. The ideal candidate will have a background in both analog and digital circuitry technology and understand the imperative need to properly prioritize technological developments and be accustomed to working through sub-contractor relationships. This person will have previously supervised or managed an engineering team and will provide leadership and direction to a team of 9 professionals in a disciplined process to identify appropriate technology developments through identification and early influence of key customer requirements. This executive is a key customer interface with the end user / customer in the industry. This individual will be a key person for successful implementation of plans that enable the company to achieve its goal of accelerated growth.
Our client is seeking a candidate who will have a total of 5+ years of engineering supervisory experience (analog and digital) as well as proven track record of product design and development in the electronics industry. This person must have documented leadership and qualifications at senior engineering level within the electronics industry domain. Must have strong engineering creative and analytical skills with the ability to apply financial cost controls to maintain and improve profitability margins of the business.
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical ( Electronics) Engineering is required. Master's Degree, in Engineering or Business Administration is a plus.

A shared insurance services organization committed to the collection, management, and distribution of information that delivers value to stakeholders by refining its traditional services and seeks new ways to enable insurers and others to access and use workers compensation data to benefit the industry and lower its overall costs.
This individual, in conjunction with the other Board members, has responsibility for surveillance of the quality of management's strategic decisions, the ethical and economic quality of management's performance, and the quality of the organization's performance. Board members are kept informed of the organization's performance through discussions with the CEO and other officers , and by written reports. Members are required to actively participate in board and committee meetings.
The candidate will recognize their "fiduciary relationship" to the organization and will possess a high degree of diligence, care and skill in using business judgement. The ideal candidate will be a former employee/retiree of a large self-insured/labor mass corporation, and one who brings credibility, stature, strategic thinking, intellectual fire-power, and grounded P&L experience. The perspective new board member ideally will have familiarity with and has been active within Washington, DC, while staying away from perceptions of being aligned with a political party. Important factors are anticipated participation in board activities, education, special talents, personal attributes, and current or previous board experience. There are four board meetings annually and attendance is required.

The CFO is responsible for providing the financial leadership, planning and managerial control for the corporation's operation both domestically and internationally. This executive will serve as the key interface with the Chairman/CEO on all activities with respect to financial controls, treasury functions, evaluating the implications of operations strategy, and will provide planning and support to meet the overall objectives and achievement of the business plan. This individual will handle all corporate record keeping. This individual will oversee an organization consisting of accounting, information technology and human resources, as well as outside audit, legal and tax functions.
The preferred candidate will have at least 15 years of diverse strategic financial planning and analysis and control experience , and 5 years as a CFO with a manufacturing company in a hands-on operating environment. Must be an excellent problem solver with a strong, practical business sense and have demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex financial issues quickly and accurately. Candidate must have sensitivity to the importance of creating corporate value and a keen interest and grasp of competitive issues which are drawn upon in providing financial support to sales, marketing, and operations. This individual will possess a high sense of urgency and the ability to get things done quickly.
The candidate will have excellent communications skills, both written and verbal. Must be a positive thinking individual with good people skills and a team philosophy. This individual will be a hard working, highly energetic, self-confident visionary capable of working in a pressured environment geared to achieving excellence in all areas.
B.S. in Accounting, with a CPA, MBA with a concentration in finance is also required.

Manufacturing Manager for a company that does bookbinding and manufactures leather presentation binders.
Manufacturing Manager will report to the Chief Operating Officer and work in tandem with the CFO in support of the production of high quality custom leather presentation binders. This person will bring prioritization to the production processes that will improve shop floor efficiencies and solve problems prior to critical stages that enable the company to keep strict production schedules and get ahead of the curve through in-depth analysis of the current production line. This will include identifying problems and helping the operation become a more visual factory, with visible metrics at each station and visual instructions on equipment operation. This person will be responsible for the day to day production activities of the 55 employees on the shop floor, where 80% of the work is manual assembly and 20% is automated. The head of manufacturing will have regular interaction with the employees at each work station making recommendation for improved efficiencies on existing products and anticipated new products that enable the company to continue its significant growth both in revenue and profitability. The ideal candidate will have a manufacturing background in both small company and large manufacturing operations and understand the imperative need to properly prioritize production initiatives and be accustomed to working in a fast paced manual labor manufacturing environment. This person will have previously supervised or managed a manufacturing operation and will provide leadership and direction to a diverse team of laborers in a disciplined manufacturing process. This manager will have upward mobility and will assume increased responsibilities given the accomplishment of key production objectives. This individual will be a key person for successful implementation of plans that enable the company to achieve its goal of accelerated growth.
